These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the video game The Horror Show (the "Game"), developed and operated by Sykes Games ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not play the Game.
Subject to these Terms and to the terms of the store or platform through which you obtained the Game, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us.
The Game, including its code, art, audio, characters, and all related content, is owned by Sykes Games or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Game except as permitted by law or expressly authorised by us.
The Game includes online multiplayer features, including in-game voice chat and player display names, that let you interact with other players. When using these features, you agree that you will not:
You are solely responsible for the display name you choose and for your conduct and communications while playing. We may restrict or remove access to online features for conduct that violates these Terms.
If you use voice chat, your audio is transmitted live to other players in your session. We do not record or store voice chat. Because voice communication happens directly between players in real time, we cannot monitor or control what other players say. You use voice chat at your own discretion.
The Game is a virtual-reality experience and contains intense horror content, including frightening imagery, loud sounds, sudden events, and depictions of violence and gore. Play in a safe, clear space, take regular breaks, and stop if you feel unwell, dizzy, or uncomfortable. Follow all safety guidance provided by your VR hardware manufacturer. The Game is intended for mature audiences only.
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that online features will always be available. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sykes Games will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Game. We may suspend or terminate your access to online features if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Game at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
The Game is under active development and may change over time, including through updates that add, modify, or remove features. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and are subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
